Anyone know the paint hardness on new Jeeps?
Subject pretty much says it all. Might be buying one in a few months or so and just curious what I will be looking at as far as paint hardness. Partially got interested by the DAT vs. SMAT thread and reading that SMAT is not good for soft paint because it's more difficult to finish down.

The 2010 Wrangler has medium paint hardness. It is very easy to work on and get it swirl free even with a rotary. I've had success with 105/205 followed by 85rd all on rotary with uber pads.

Thanks, hopefully not much changes on the 2012's (want that new engine)

I can't tell much difference between my 2008 Wrangler and my 2012. Paint is easy to work and seems to be medium hardness based on my limited experience.
