Difference between these 2 finish kare products?

Re: Difference between these 2 finish kare products?
I think the 146 (the first one) is a bit more of a spray wax, than the 425 which is just a QD. That being said I've never used the 146, only the 425.

Thanks for the reply, I think I was looking for the 425 to begin with as I'm interested in adding a QD that has anti-static properties and that one got good reviews on here. Have you found that to be the case as well?

Re: Difference between these 2 finish kare products?
I wouldn't go crazy with the anti-static part. I know some members on another forum did some experiments and found it to work; I never have noticed any difference. It's a nice QD, it used to have a better price point, I don't use it that much because I have so many QD's...

I'll give it a whirl, at worst I have another high quality QD. I'm not expecting miracles with the anti-static, but even a little would be appreciated. It is ridiculous how much dust accumulates on my black cars overnight.

The blue 146 is more of a regular quick detailer with more cleaners in it.
Pink 425 is more glossy and slick and also has some good durability.

Re: Difference between these 2 finish kare products?
I got the FK 425 a couple weeks ago because everyone talks about it so much. As far as "anti-static" goes, the only REAL way to achieve that would be if FK 425 had some kind of reverse charge then the dust that was landing on the car. But it sure is SUPER slick so dust and everything blows off easier when driving or whatever.

FWIW, I've compared Optimum Instant Detailer to FK425. I did a hood with 1/2 and 1/2. Then drove the car for several days. I took one of the Zaino MF wrapped applicator pads and QD'd the hood with ONR. Both sides dirtied the applicator the same amount. To my eyes, FK425 didn't repel dirt or dust anymore than the OID.

Oh really! (Just kidding). It's just that FK425 with or without Polycharger on a well prepped car IMHO looks as good as most spay waxes.

I don't know where you're going with that...there are a lot of QD's that look good...that's most of the reason for using them...but I don't know any QD's that will still be there after a rain, like a spray wax will (at least until the second rain...ha ha).
