Question What did I do to this Alloy wheel and How can I fix it?

I sprayed it with tire foam - and one wheel I can't get this off of!!
Ideas? I used wheel cleaner and soap and water (car shampoo, a brush.) Help!!!! Thanks.

If the wheel is clear coated I might try some DP Wheel Glaze on it. It is mild yet has some good cleaning ability. If the wheel is just plan aluminum I just got some P21s Polishing Soap (thanks Truls) and it works great on uncoated Aluminum.

I don't know if it's coated or not, but we think it is polished.

If you not sure start with something mild. You can always use something stronger if it does not work. I'm sure some other forum members will have some good suggestions.

Were the wheels hot?.....if so always let the wheels cool.
Personally, the first thing I would do is steam them and go from there.
Clearcoated? Check the same as you would paint. Does your applicator turn black?
One thing I insist on at the shop...if you spray anything on the tires make sure you have a wheel shield over the wheel.

Why would you want to spray tire foam on wheels?

Wheels should get a good wheel cleaner, like DP, Pinnacle, or Wolfgang.

These cleaners are soft and safe.

Try polishing that off with Meguiar's NXT all metal polish (is available OTC).

I think the foam splattered. i only sprayed the tires, of course.

It is the old beater, so I was finishing off some stuff I had. It did not hurt the 3 other cars I used it on. But it did not fix this either..........
off to auto zone for metal poish!
    gracias!

Before I would use a metal polish I would try something like AIO.
