2005 BMW leather question...
545i with "snakeskin" textured finished leather. I applied optimum protectant plus and the leather didn't seem to take it so well. It applied splotchy and looked as if I didn't put anything on it. Is this normal for BMW leather? FWIW, OPP applies uniform and gives a nice sheen on my z06 smooth leather.

Normal.
I use Meguiars QID on all late model BMW leather.
The 325i back in 02/03 were fine.

Thanks.
So you don't bother with a protectant on late model BMW's?
I'm not sure if QID offers protection?

QID offers some protection, but nothing like a traditional protectant.
Keeping it clean helps but other than that I do not do anything.
