Re: 845 and a Topper?
Yeah Going try using DA with the better stuff the next time I get the chance two.
The expensive wax I was talking about were Souveran, Sig II, and p21s and maybe MaxMax.
I have a gallon of M26 and bottle of NXT 2.0 that I wouldn't mind using DA.

Those are med to low med waxes. Zymol and Swissvax are your higher priced waxes. That doesn't mean they will look better to you.

Re: 845 and a Topper?
First off the Collinite will go a GREAT deal farther than you think it will.
For lack of a better term it is a sealant/wax combination and offers the best of both sides. Personally, I see no need to top it unless you just like the look of a more "show" wax on top of the 845. Is your concern protection for the surface or just looks? Your call. Want a nice look? Stop with Collinite. Want an insane look, for a very short time? Then top it with one of the more premium waxes known for "looks", not longevity. Pick one and go for it.

Re: 845 and a Topper?
I have used 845 on the last 5 cars i've detailed and used the DA to apply it and i have no complaints whatsoever. As others have stated its easier to get a more even application with the DA, and that makes it easy to wipe off cause you use less product. And as far looks go, I dont see the need to top 845 with anything cause it gives a nice wet look.

I think this is true with many waxes and sealants. If you rely solely on visual clues on how much you are applying, you will often overapply anything. You just have to be not overprime the pad and use criss cross paths to insure even coverage.

Re: 845 and a Topper?
Great info folks! Going with 845 applied with PC and Crimson HT Lo-Pro and no topper. I'am going for protection till spring, then back to SIGII.
Thanks everyone!

Do people use Klasse sealant gloss with 845 for spring and summer? or they are only good for winter prepping?

I think we do that b/c it is a durable combination for the winter months. In the spring it all comes off and then it'll be a different combo every week for most of the people on here.. hahaha
