    First Customer!

I had my first customer today. Sorry no pics. Been spending too much money on products to buy a camera. (Any suggestions for a cheap camera?)

Here was my process. Feel free to offer suggestions since it is less that 2 months since I was using turtle wax and an old T shirt. The car was a five year old Silver Ford Focus that was poorly maintained. I had a 4 hour window to do all I could.

By default tons of microfiber, applicators, and brushes ready to go.

Two bucket wash with Grit Guards and Meguiar's Gold with ONR added for extra lubricity and I have hard water.

2 Sheepskin Mitts. Top & Bottom.

Bug Squash & Pinnacle Bug & Tar Sponge and for a few really bad areas Tarminator with Scraprite Plastic Razor Blades.

DP Gel Wheel Cleaner with separate brushes for tires, rims, and wheel wells and separate wash bucket.

    Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant for trim.

Duragloss Tire Dressing. (I keep coming back to this and have tried a handful of highly thought of products.)

Optimum Poli-Seal applied with PC 7424 XP and 5.5" white pads. (mmm bananas)

Spot correcting and headlight restoration with m105/205 with 4" orange/white pads.

Plex-All for headlights and gauge cluster.

    Opti-Seal for a quick sealant.

    DP Interior Cleaner. (mmm bananas)

    303 Aerospace Protectant.

Folex for interior spot removal. (Obviously vacuumed interior.)

    Invisible Glass.

    Some Poorboy's Pina Colada Scent.

Maybe some other things I haven't thought of?

The customer was very happy and couldn't believe the job I did with the paint correction part. There was a drastic difference but I would have liked another four hours just for paint correction. Overall Good first experience.

awesome! bet you're beat down. Any decent point and shoot digital will work fine for pics. Sounds like a happy customer.

Did you clay the horizontal surfaces? It will give you a much better overall finish. A smooth as glass surface will give you a smooth as glass finish. The customer being happy is very important, thats how you will get your next customes...Good job making them happy! Congratulations on your first detail for $$$!
