Swirl Finder Lights
Were I work on a car I will not have 5 ft behind me to stick a Halogen stand which would be killer but just not feasible.
Brinkmann Swirl Finder Light, Brinkmann Maxfire Dual Xenon Rechargeable Spotlight
I was looking at this light and I have heard good things. They also sell a Dual light which I am not sure I "need" this is for a personal use/hobby thing.

This is perfect. If money is not an issue then the 3m Sun Gun is also a great option.

Got one when AG first started carrying them, it works great.
It's a great flashlight, works fantastic when detailing cars and I have also found it a great fill light for photography.
I know there are now newer versions. Pick one and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Re: Swirl Finder Lights
My garage looks like Wrigley Field with all my halogen stands. The Brinkmann is my go to light. It works fantastic. The halogens just make the garage 8000 degrees hotter than it needs to be. They are good for overall lighting. Remember, imperfections will hide under different lights. Sunlight will reveal almost everything so put the car in the sun to see what spots you missed. Bottom line, Brinkmann is affordable and it works!

Re: Swirl Finder Lights
Before I put in ANOTHER order to Autogeek (lol), is there anywhere local that I can pick this light up...or maybe a light that is similar and will give decent results?
I need to get one by Thursday because I will be doing an evening detail and wont have room for my halogens.
Thanks!

I had heard that Bass Pro Shops may carry them as well as Cabelas if you have one near you. WalMart has them online but maybe you can check if your local store may have them in stock. In a pinch, I sometimes use a full size Mag Light. Not perfect but may help a little.

Bass Pro Shop...brilliant. I'll check with them.
I didn't see one last time I was in Wal-Mart, but I'll check a couple other ones around me as well.
Thanks!

Re: Swirl Finder Lights
I keep my Brinkman in the trunk with the lighter plug in case of a flat or breakdown. Just plug that sucker into the trunk outlet, lock the trigger in the ON position, and you've got virtual daylight! LOL
