Exclamation Multiple washes still wont come clean?? *pictures*

    Whats up guys?

I gave my used car a wash after i've had her for about a week and a half now and i still cant seem to get these "spots" clean.

When I run my fingers over them, they are smooth and there is no depth change in the paint, so I don't believe it involves the clear coat or anything...

These spots are pretty much all over the hood, top of car, and on the trunk...

Any ideas guys? How can I fix this? Is there ONE product out there that will take care of these spots?

Try claying and a IPA wipe down.

The description in the above link should help you understand what water spots are. You will probably need to polish the paint to get rid of the spots if claying doesn't work. If your going to be working with OTC products, you could try some Megs Swirl-X by hand ( man vs machine , 1 step vs 3 step ) and protect your newly polished paint with some Autoglym HD, both available at Walmart.

Thats weird looking, if clay doesn't work try a decon kit. Then maybe a good paint correction, i've seen cars that I could not feel the paint change but with a ptg the thickness was different on what looked like bird stains.

I too think claying and polishing are indeed the next option ...

I agree with others, looks like water spots. Clay may help and maybe a chemical polish like PB Prop Polish.

Megs Ultimate Compound should do the trick and it's easy to find. It worked for me and it does well by hand if you do not own a machine.

I agree with Sal, I just used some Megs Ultimate Compound today on my by buddies hood to remove some nasty water spots that had etched themselves pretty deep. Went over the hood twice with a PC7424 and an orange pad. Topped it with Wolfgangs DG paint sealant and looks great now.

You should clay first as everyone has been saying, then if they are still visible polish them out.
