DG #105 with other products
I have the Duragloss 601 and 105 , thinking of topping it with a layer of sealant(WG DGPS 3.0) and finishing it with a carnauba wax.
Will this be overkill or will it be fine ?

Re: DG #105 with other products
Putting a wax on top will actually degrade the 105 underneath according to Jerry at Duragloss. Plus the 601 and 105 together is already really durable so there's no point in putting another sealant on top. I am told you can layer the 105 3 times before it removes the underlying layer.

105 without 601 is still pretty durable, right?

Yes it is.

With Duragloss 105 , and the durability I wouldn't top it with (WG DGPS 3.0)
Granted the WG DGPS looks great on a vehicle. Give it a few weeks, then top it, with WG if you think you need to.

Re: DG #105 with other products
I have been using DG products for a number of years and have experimented in all sorts of ways with them. My regime now is to use 501 as a cleaner, top that with 601 to flash cure it and then top it with 105. On top of that I apply Collinite 845. I know Jerry quite well and we have talked about my process. There is no problem topping 601/105 with Collinite as it is not a cleaner wax. Some waxes are cleaner waxes so don't use those. Why do you want to top it? More durability? If so, you can add another 601/105 layer or do what I do and top it with the Collinite. You'll have a bullet-proof combo there.

This is my winter routine to protect my car... Only after the collinite, I will also put some AW on as needed.

I'm about to use this on my wife and daughters cars, & I'm curious as to why you use a marine cleaner on your car? The 501, of course i have the 601 & 105 but i never got the cleaner. i have klasse aio, can i use that instead?
thanks for the tip on the coll. i have that & i would not have thought to use that on top. i probably would have used max wax or pinn. that will be great for there cars.
I love DP products! although, I'm starting to lean towards the pinnacle line, thanks to liq. sovereign!

Re: DG #105 with other products
You would not want to layer 601 between 105. The 601 bonds the paint to the polish- 105 or 111. Then you would layer 105 or 111 on top of each other. 601 would increase durability about 50-60% and will produce a deeper gloss. Layering the 105 or 111 will increase durability. Wait 24 hours for each layer.
I'm told you won't need a pre-cleanser in most cases with 105 as it has the most cleaning agents unless your car has environmental buildup or oxidation.

whatever happened to the Duragloss 101+105 combo? I have 101 and 105 and I remember it worked pretty well, so what do you guys think of 101?
