LC purple foamed wool pad?
If I used this with a Flex 3401, how does the cutting ability compare to a LC orange and yellow pad?

Doesn't work as well as wool does but it does leave less holograms behind and trails than natural wool does and is easier to care for as well It will tackle anything you throw at it as well

more cut than orange, sheds a bit of lint so wash it 2 times before using it. It also seems that you either have to clean the pad more frequently or switch to a new one. eg-I can do a whole car with 3 foam pads but probably 5-6 PFW pads.

Not true, I barely get any holograms if any using a natural wool pad.

I have use both Purple Wool and the Yellow Cutting Pad. The Purple Wool cuts more and stronger then the Yellow Cutting Pad. but to use the 6.5" PFW and the 6.5" Yellow Cutting Pad you need to change the backing plate. Otherwise buy a smaller PFW so you can use 1 backing plate for both.
