How to remove decal sticker residue????
Hey guys this is my first actual thread, and i need some advice.
I have a vehicle that i previously used for advertisig with all kind of decal stickers on it, i recently took all of them off and THERE IS LOTS OF STICKER RESIDUE THAT IS SO DIFICULT TO REMOVE. I hired a "so called detailer" to clean it up but he didn't do a good job, he used GASOLINE TO TRY TO REMOVE IT, it worked ok but it still needs more work.
I want to remove this stuff before I do a serious detail on my truck.
ANY ADVICE????????

What I have used with great success was surf city grime destroyer. Spray it on wait a few seconds, rub with your finger and then wash it away..

To achieve excellence, excellence cannot be rushed. Technique is just as important as the product used.
While my approach takes more time, the results are far superior.

You could try some Goof Off. You can find it at Lowes or the like.
'Cause there's just something women like about a pickup man.

I like to use the Stoner XENIT. It works great on a painted surface.

body shops use an eraser....like pencil eraser but goes on a drill, like buffer and you pass it over the glue and it removes it

Thanks guys, lots of great ideas. I'ts hard to pick one, i'll probably end up trying two of the products...just to keep it on the safe side and to see which one gives me the best results.

Re: How to remove decal sticker residue????
I have used WD-40 with good results for emblems and moulding adhesive.
3M makes a great performing "Wax and Adhesive Remover", comes in a spray can; I find at my local auto parts store in the auto cleaning isle (or the paint can isle) and works great. We always have a can or two on hand since it also does good on stubborn tar deposits inside wheel barrels or fender liners, and works good to remove white baked on wax residue from anything really (plastic wiped with 3MW&AR will need to be cleaned with an APC and dressed heavily).
