Tape question

Whats the difference between automotive masking tape and just regular 3m blue masking tape? I seen like a neon green colored automotive masking tape in the store. And just curious to the differences in the two. Thanks

Painters tape/Automotive tape. As far as I know it's mostly a difference of adhesive level and resistance to transfer of said glue. Automotive tape is a little stronger adhesive than the blue painters tape. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken

Either will usually work fine.

The blue tends to have better adhesion where the green tends to be more flexible if you are going to be doing a lot of bending of the tape as opposed to cutting and building up around a curved area. It really is a matter of what you feel comfortable working with. I have used both and have no specific bias either way.
