Clay bar 'and' PCL?
Is it neccessary to clay bar a vehicle if one was going to use a pre-cleaner to prep the paint and vice versa? I always washed, clayed, used my pre-cleaner lotion, then sealed. I had a guy on another forum ask me why I used the pre-cleaner if I already clayed it? Am I wasting time with adding another step or is this the correct procedure? Thanks!

Re: Clay bar 'and' PCL?
Claying is the sure fire way to safely remove contaminates. An applicator pad using pre-cleaner would only keep contaminates on the surface while simultaneously moving them over the paint causing damage. Your current technique is consistent and safe. Keep up the good work!
