Painter's Tape Glue on exterior molding trim
I used blue painters tape on my exterior black rubber trim this weekend while detailing my car. I have seen a lot of people use this, and just assumed it was safe
When I was done, I peeled off the tape and look what was left, glue residue or something!
Any suggestions on how to either get this off or get rid of the discoloration.

I used the same blue painters tape on my car and didn't have that problem. Not sure why it would have done that on your car.

I think part of the problem is the tape was on there all weekend!
I have PB Spray and wipe, do you think that will do?

I had the same problem. I wonder if it has to do with the humidity? I can tell you 303 and wd-40 did not work. I know 3m makes a yellow painters tape for delicate surfaces. I only left the tape on my car for about 4 hours in the garage at night.

Goo Gone, peanut oil, or AIO will take it off.

I have the blue 3m painters tape and found it mostly didn't stick, but sometimes for whatever reason it would leave a residue. I think I'm going to try the yellow or green paitners tape, heard they are much easier to remove. Blue is fine, but it always leaves a residue on our cars/trucks and I put it on gently (don't firmly press it to trim).
Anybody use the green or yellow versions?

Peanut oil? I agree. And is AIO safe o really use on trim, I am afraid I will end up making it worse (discolored or faded) since AIO is a chemical based cleaner.
Any other thoughts?
