    curing time

With you experts help, I plan on detailing my 2004 Expedition. It is black all over. It has some small pecks (mainly in the front) that i need to touch up first. What would be the best method to do this and how long should I let the paint cure?
After I do this, I will be back for more evpert advice.
I forgot to mention, I will be doing everything by hand.

Pictures of what you guys and gals do are amazing!

    Thanks for any input.

Get the LANGKA - LAN-KIT from AG you will not be sorry. There is a little bit of a learning curve but it is well worth it.

It depends on how well you want the chips to be filled in. If you just want it the same color as the rest of your car, just give the chips one coat, wait about 12 hours (or however long the instructions on the touch up bottle says) and you're done with. Me, I like to fill them in the base coat, cover them up with clearcoat until they're a little higher than the surrounding paint and then sand them level and then polish them to a sheen so you can barely tell that I had a chip in the paint. That takes a lot more time (a few days) and labor.
