no need to wet it and I too fold it in 4 and flip it every so often. Most the time its only lightly damp when finishing car.

I have a couple and wash after each use to remove dirt and sediments that might be in towel. My wifey washes with other MF towels.

I use the small one more so I just use it loose.
I wash it after every use with the other towels. If it starts spreading water I'll wash it once by itself.

I have 2 guzzlers and use them both open. First one on each side of roof, then both on each side of hood, trunk, then pat dry sides. Towels are never moved just blotted. Wife also washes mine with MF towels.

    Re: Waffle Weave Drying towel

I have 2 each of the big and small ones. Like all MF towels, keep them in storage bins or plastic baggies away from dust and dirt when not in use. Use them dry from their storage. When I do a regular wash, I sheet the water during rinse so the big guzzler barely gets wet even on a mini-van. When I do an ONR wash on my van, I have to wring it out once before I'm done. With an ONR wash on my smaller hatchback, it holds up well till the end.

    Re: Waffle Weave Drying towel

Waffle weave towels are cool. First I just wipe down the whole car with them, but once there are multiple drops scattered on the car, I use the blotting method so I do not create more water spots.

You can ring the towel out during use when it gets really wet to allow for more drying power.
