Nxt and NXt 2.0...Streaking...Reccomendations
I have been using Meg's NXT Gen since it came out a few years back, and jsut recently got the NXT 2.0. I love the shine and finish it leaves, but ALWAYS after initial Waxing(which prior is a full clay, polishing, etc, so its a fress surface) I get streaking. Its lik e a greasy streaking left by the Wax. Whether its on by hand or PC(2.5-3 speed) It leaves a oily streak?(only see on my black cars)
Is this just a character of the Wax?
Does Pinnacle Liquid leave Streaking?
Thanks !!!

I have only tried out NXT waxes a couple of times and I noticed the streaking too, I would say its from applying too much. I had to go over car with an instant detailer to remove it. Was not a huge fan of the NXT liquid, looked good but just not impressed with durability and ease of application.

yeah i've always noticed the streaking, especially on dark colors. I usually had pretty good luck taking a quick detailer and buff it out a little.

I have tried both products, Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0, applying too much will leave a oily or greasy film, love the product but my discrepency is that it really doesn't last long. As for the Pinnacle, I have never gotten the oily or greasy look ( very pleased with it) although back to the NXT 2.0 I do like the depth of the shine.........but, I give Pinnacle 2 thumbs up !! Just my two cents.......lol..........

Easy fix: Toss both NXT and NXT 2.0 in the trash!
I've used both and streaking was an issue with me as well. I don't have that problem with other boutique waxes.

What seems to work for me is to apply with a damp terry towel ,wash cloth size, also shake well. Apply to the whole car before wiping off.Use mf towels for wiping off.Apply it with a damp tery cloth allows you to put it on very thin.

Got the streaking as well the 1st time I used it, last week i removed it and applied smaller amount which seemed to work ok. As far as durability i will have to check on it this weekend.

Are you guys talking about the NXT 2.0 Liquid or Paste Wax version? I just picked up a container of NXT 2.0 Paste Wax and I'm going to be trying it on my black G35 tonight or tomorrow....I'll let you guys know how it goes (I've never used it before). I just need to finish doing the Liquid Clay Bar on it first then maybe Z-AIO and then the NXT 2.0 will go on it.

Skip the Liquid Clay bay and try the real clay bar, much better results (unless you using the liquid clay bar as a polish)

I don't know how you guys are using NXT 2.0, but I have never gotten streaking out of it at all.
As for the life of it, I have been impressed by my tests of it. I have put it up against Meguiar's #21, Duragloss #105, Poli-Seal, Poorboy's EX-P and Collinite 476s. All are being tested on my Jeep as we speak and it has been a few months since their application. Surprisingly, #21 has already lost it's sheeting ability while NXT 2.0 has reatained it very well along with the other sealants/waxes. All still bead fairly well. Duragloss has a much tighter bead than the rest when the vehicle is dirty. I also applied it to my mother in laws vehicle after a wash and clay. Then, I sent the car off to test it's longevity with an average driver (vehicle always outside, washes once every two weeks or so in car washes along with the occasional hand wash and no QDs, spray waxes or drying). So far, three months and it is still beading and sheeting water pretty well and the surface is still mostly slick. I would move to say that it might could stretch it out for another month, but it will most likely need another application by then. But, I wouldn't discredit NXT 2.0's life.
