So what body shop, and area of the state? The BBB and Attorney General have a nice list of shops that have had problems...

It's called JJ in Cleveland Ohio, almost right next door to the Cleveland Zoo property... let me check my phone for the exact address (I'm not even sure of the exact name of the shop - it was in the ghetto, and the only reason I dropped my car off in the first place was because it was referred to me by a 'friend' of a friend, which after the fact meant someone got a kick back)

At any rate, the address if it would pop up on google or yellow pages for you guys is: 3504 Stanford Cleveland Ohio, at intersection of State Street and Pearl Rd

... Oh, and the situation has DRASTICALLY escalated since I last posted, you wouldn't believe it!

The tech's name was Brian, and he was referred to me by Joe Butano, of Paint Perfect Inc (Home - High-end Home Service: Paint Perfect) e-mail address paintperfectinc@yahoo.com. I don't know Brian's last name - he wanted it that way I'm sure.

I did a search for JJ in Cleveland, and couldn't find it. The address you entered in is coming back for Custom Color & Collision Center. What they did was just WRONG!

I would also file an online complaint with the Attorney General in Ohio (Ohio Attorney General - Consumer Complaints)

It almost looks like it got rained on right after they painted.

It's not the worst I've ever seen (I live in South Florida) but it's right up there near the top of the list.

Someone's got to start all over again on that job.

Hi guys, I just wanted to say thanks for helping out, and thanks for the BBB link. I ended up going to someone local who has an amazing reputation and owns his own shop that has been open for over 30 years now. He gave me an estimate to fix everything, which triples the original cost - but I'm going to have to simmer on that and see if it's really worth it. Even Wolfgang's can't help this, hahaha!!!

Well if you can get the other shop to pay for what the F'd up than they could potentially cover the new quote, but thats probably gonna require a court.

If the shop isn't held accountable for their workmanship, then they will continue to provide the same service to others. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to help reduce the risk for others.
BTW - I'm glad to see you've found a shop that can fix the problem...
