Re: Who's using a Tire Coating
Sounds like easy does it when applying. Will do!
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Yeah for sure, looking forward to hearing your results as product perf varies based on your tires

Re: Who's using a Tire Coating
I had a pretty bad experience with Optimum Tire Coating too. The coating turned brown within hours after I applied it and just looked awful. My application was not perfect, but the main issue after talking to a CS rep was that my tires were too new. They needed to off-gas for a few weeks to months before applying the coating. A few hours of scrubbing with a brushes and steel wool with Optimum APC got it off, but that was a massive pain in the ass.
I've never used it again because I don't want to have to go through the hours of scrubbing to remove it in the event I botch the application in some way. The results I get with Gyeon Q2 Tire, Armour Detail Tire, or SiRamik Tire are so good for so little effort I see no need for a coating anymore.

As long as a dressing lasts reasonably long in bad weather, it’s a winner to me.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

The replies in this thread. It's like NXT all over again. Thinking it was going to be a game changer, but the masses tend to disagree
I suppose only the OG's will get the word NXT

Same color? If so that's sad because my color is very forgiving

NXT was an awesome product, from its purple bottle and green cap, it's fresh scent, it's instant pop and VERY easy removal, damn Meg's, why don't keep a solid product ever

Re: Who's using a Tire Coating
Tire coatings are great for 55 series and up tires. When it ware’s off on the edges in a couple weeks 90% of the tire still looks good for months.
In a lower profile tire that same wear and 60% of tire looks good due to smaller sidewall so half the tire looks bad. Could be due to cornering more aggressive in a sports car as well.
Realized I won’t get durability more than a week to 2 weeks with any product on my low profile tires so a dressing makes more sense applied weekly.
On those taller tires though I would absolutely use a coating.
And the Optimum tire Coating is junk. Seen a lot of problems with Browning.
On a taller tire try Mckee’s or black fire. You’ll be extremely happy.
