When I picked it up 3 of the 4 wheels had chips in the paint around the lug nut holes, and 2 or 3 on each. I was not happy. Then I noticed a scuff on the roof where something had been put on it, then dragged off.
Ended up with half the service techs and reps around the car checking out the damage. The dude that did it was hiding, the service manager asked me in front of everyone if I wanted him fired. It took some self control, but I said no, but give him all the dirtiest, crappiest cars to work on for at least a year, he doesn't touch anything nice till he learns his lesson.
They fixed everything, and I had a loan car for a week while they did it.

I've got those pads coming tomorrow. In another place I saw someone recommend actually adding 3D One (two pea sized dots) and a finishing polish (another two pea sized dots) on the Uro Fiber pad for a perfect cut + finish result.
I'm intrigued myself.

That was the one they damaged, like Deyon, I took it in looking immaculate, I ask you, if you're driving a customer's car, and it is fastidiously clean, how could you then treat it like sh1t and not care, and think that they wouldn't notice. They gave a plain white wagon as a loaner, similar to what I ended up buying a few years later.

I used that combo on an Audi I coated a few months back but Audi’s have rock hard paint. The only reason I’m considering it is that since my polisher doesn’t have as much bite as my G15, which I will hopefully have back this week, I may need a more aggressive pad.

That would be fantastic! Especially for owners of cars like ‘Vettes.

I never take it for granted that anyone is going to read the work order before they decide to wash the car. I try at all costs to avoid taking my car to the dealer, but if I have to for a recall or something, I tape signs to the rear side windows, lay one on the passenger seat, and tape one to the dash, in English and Spanish, just in case.

Middle-aged Dads don't get pulled over for no front plate, or burned out tail lights, etc.

He used to drive that ‘Vette hard though, it’s the classic cop car magnet: a red sports car

Re: Why Can’t People Follow Directions?
Oh, sorry, I didn't put your two sentences together, I didn't realize your Dad had a 'Vette. Still, cops usually don't bother pulling people over for things like no front plate unless they think they are going to find something else. Of course the classic one was the expired inspection sticker, because people who are driving around with a suspended license can't take the car to inspection, because they check your license, or they used to...last time I went I believe they gave me back my license and insurance card without looking at them.
