"As I explained to you during multiple phone calls and text messages, UCC is built to be ultra forgiving for first timers, and as a result it has a trade-off of a slower cure that is made even slower by cold (which is also true for real pro coatings, hence IR lamps). You applied and tested UCC when it was under 60 degrees for a week straight AND you also did not work it into the paint like I explained. That is why it didn't perform. It is a real coating, but it was tested like a sealant."

Perhaps you would be better off with their hybrid paint coating in the aerosol can?

I'm glad you shared this video. I can't say I wouldn't be disappointed if I spent time preparing to apply this on a cool Fall or Winter day in the garage and found out this bit of info later on. For a brand so focused on covering consumers, this should be added to the instructions.

I can't keep up (or have lost interest in it maybe) with so many YT channels these days. Another example of the forum value - collective knowledge.

Hey SNP, thanks for the lead on this info, I will give it a look

If we have a summer like last year then I doubt I would get an opportunity to try their new product

I have one box of Hybrid squirreled away and I keep waffling on trying that or Can Coat on. my little blue car, if I even coat it at all

Honestly until I get some more time under my belt taking care of the ceramic coating on the newer car I am not ready to take the plunge

I still enjoy fooling around with sealants

I must have been living under a rock lately as I didn’t even know that the M888 coating existed

The video I linked was for this product

I don’t actually think it’s a true coating, more like a sealant on steroids, but I think it might be a nice option if I’m not ready to take the leap to a multi year coating

It's always amazing how some stuff takes forever to trickle up to us, not just detailing stuff

Problems like drugs, alcohol, etc seem to get here instantly

We were gone from Alaska from 90-94 and when we came back to a bush village 400 miles from the road system we thought it would be insulated from the troubles of the world

    Nope

I caught that too when I read the product description.

    "What are Detonated Nano Diamonds?
Detonated nano diamonds, also known as ultradispersed diamonds, are ultra-fine diamond particles produced through the detonation of oxygen-deficient explosives, such as a mixture of TNT and RDX, in a closed chamber. The resulting diamond particles have diameters of around 5 nanometers and possess unique properties that make them valuable in various applications, including advanced ceramic coatings like the C6."
