High solids ceramic coatings are all the rage and are much more chemically resistant than polymer based LSPs of the past, which has led to companies creating stronger soaps to maintain them. The idea is to use a "pre wash" that is usually higher up on the ph scale to start to break down the grime so it is easier to remove when you go in for the contact wash. Apparently the Europeans have been doing it this was for quite some time now.

Back in the day the Valugard ABC system was used to strip old remnants of LSPs and remove contaminants in order to prep the paint for application of a new LSP. Now companies are coming out with a "3 ph system" of soaps (acid, alkaline, neutral) to maintain your ceramic coating.

Bilt Hamber AutoFoam and Touchless is “potent” but safe for most waxes, sealants and coatings. Products not marketed in US and work extremely well.

It has been out for a while but newer to US market.

I saw a video where two detailers were saying foaming was a game changer to detailing and made the two bucket method obsolete. I wonder where they have been in the last 10 to 15 years in regards to foaming

    Clingy suds back in 2014.

Not a video but another retailer seemed to know this topic was coming. This was in their mid-week email this week.

How do their thoughts change if no EGO... what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?
