How do I make my matte/satin black rims shiny?

    Hello,
I don’t want a black matte rim anymore. Can I use any shiner like wax for my matte black rims?
Does a wax/sealant turn black matte rims glossy?

Silicone based products like Armor All dressing will make them a little bit shinier but not GLOSS shiny.

If you want gloss black wheels you need to refinish them with a gloss clear coat and not a wax or any quick detailing product.

Applying clear coat is permanent solution, anything else is temporally ..

What about polishing them? Will it make the rim shiny?

When you say matte are they truly matte or are you just trying to say they have a not very reflective finish? For matte there is really nothing that can make it shiny short of totally refinishing at which point you would probably be better off getting different wheels and then either repurposing the matte's or selling them. Trying to polish something with a true matte finish will just ruin them and then you'll have the worst of both worlds.

If they are *not* actually matte I think you are going to need to supply a little more info. Wheel make/model/option would sure go a long way.

    Thanks for your replies.
I painted my rims using Rust Oleum 2X gloss black, then finished it off with some spray max 2K clear coat. Wheels look more matte than glossy, but they still have a little gloss if you were to look at it from different angles.
