Ceramic Tire Coatings

Are you talking only ceramic tire coatings? Or any coatings. I've been out of the loop I wasn't aware until you posted this that M37 had added ceramic to their coating.

Yes, only Tire Coatings.

They've had a ceramic tire coating for at least 5 years now.

There’s a Pinnacle Black Label Tire Coating that I’d strongly consider trying. It’s clear non tinted.

That's news to me. Tropicare had the original acrylic tire coating, but no one even remembers that product line now. Tuf Shine was the "original" contemporary tire coating, followed I believe by the McKee's which was very similar (or maybe I'm getting confused with the DP coating, that was probably before the M37). Optimum has their Tire Protection & Coating, CQuartz has Blackout, Eldo mentioned the Pinnacle. I'm sure there are some others, there are so many products today.

Undrdog Tire Coating, Dura-Tire Coating, Permashine Tire Coating

My phone doesn’t let me log off of this forum… I’m not actually online all the time, if that’s what you’re referring to.

No, it was 12:30 a.m. your time when I asked the sleep question and it was 2 in the morning when you answered.

I went grocery shopping at midnight a couple days ago… They close at 1am. and I was the last customer. That’s the best time of the day. Lol

Gyeon has their Q2 Tire Coating. Never tried it, but thought I'd put it out there as another possible option.

Been using the Dura tire coating for a year now. Pretty happy with it.

Do you feel like their dedicated tire cleaner/prep is absolutely necessary? Or can someone get by using whatever tire cleaner as long as they make sure to clean the tires well enough? I was thinking about just buying the Dura Dressing and using Megs D143 tire cleaner followed by some LA’s Totally Awesome to prep the tires.

No dedicate tire prep but they do need to be insanely clean for the coating to get a -good bond-. If a good bond doesn't happen, it comes up in -patches-. If you run low profiles, and rub, it does weaken the coating and may come off in parches (instead of a wheel curb, I'll call it a tire coating curb rash).

I've tried coatings but I'm back to just -dressings-. To me, it's just more -uniform-. Maybe it's more uniform as I'm -dressing- *topping* the tire more often, but while initial thought on coatings was great, long term, I steered back to dressings.
