What's a reasonable shelf life to expect?

YEARS per Markus Kleis (former Meguiar's employee who was part of the team who designed HPC.

You don't have that with an aerosol can. Huge advantage.
It's gonna last you years, that you could keep this and do touch-ups down the road and not have to worry about it curing in your can.

Sounds like more of a wax than a true coating. Probably decent for an auto parts store product.

Better than a wax, and not a true coating.
Hence the "Hybrid" moniker........
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Remember $100 Aus is about $65-70 USD. Still high though.

That's not me dissing the Meguiar's brand, they have good product, but it's simply not the value for money brand they are for you guys in the US. The same applies to Adam's.
Yeah but in some cases the bigger brands have products that perform as well or outperform smaller brands like Owners Pride, Obsessed and DIY you are getting products from big blenders.
Meguiars blends there own and the company that owns B&B blending owns Adam’s.
In the case of HPC it is more of a competitor of CanCoat with some here preferring it. For the yearly polisher who will want to reapply LSP.
It does suck to pay a premium for brands much cheaper else where. We pay basically double for Bilt Hamber and my $32 bottle of KC FSE cost $13 USD in the UK.
But although basic and inexpensive the perform so worth it I guess.

You probably haven't watched any of the HPC videos then have you? Some common myths are debunked and misconceptions are cleared up about this product. One can really unpack a lot of info by simply getting it from the direct source.
One of which is that HPC is "not a true coating". While this may be true in a traditional sense (small bottle of liquid, hardens when dried, has "ceramic" in its description"), it is mostly FALSE factually speaking.
I recommend these videos to anyone who wants to familiarize themselves with what HPC really is and what is isn't...

I plan to try it out this weekend and may pick up a few kits to hold onto if it goes well. MK was impressed with them on wheels and I'm interested in seeing how well it performs on them. As well as how recoating goes without a lot of prep. I've tried a lot coatings on wheels and it's pretty lackluster for the effort.

For me personally, I've found that nothing lasts long on wheels. Even popular coatings like Carpro and Gyeon (which I've used). HPC was no different either in my experience.

I figured. How long did it hold up? Seems pretty easy to apply and hard to get high spots which would be a plus for recoating more intricate wheels more often.
