Clay products - 2023
Hi folks, in the same vein as the Rinseless Washes - 2022 Thread. What is everyone using for clay in 2023?!
My first clay product was the Mother's speed clay 2.0 which worked fine at the time. But I just used it after a few years and it seems to have lost its punch. The last few years i used mostly regular clay from tacsystems - pink and purple for those familiar. Not sure if it natural or some of the newer type clay.
Anyhow, i'm in the market now for a towel. I really don't know a lot about clay products frankly and i recently learned about the perforated clay towels, which seems to be newer tech.
The orange one from Carpro that came out in 2019 is on my radar. Optimum and P&S have one too.
The Rag Companies Ultra Clay Scrubber is something even more new on the market that looks interesting. I might like that better than a towel.
Thoughts?

I have the Rag Company mitt but my go to is the P&S Reset Towel. It’s efficient and it works well. The last time I used traditional clay I chucked about $20 worth of clay across the garage so having something that I can rinse and reuse is a must.

I like the blue microfiber towels from the Rag Company. Been using Adams medium clay.
I just bought the Meguires quick detail spray with clay as well.

Griots BF synthetic clay.
Mother’s yellow clay.
Use griots BF speed clay the most.

It depends on the job.
If it is a car I've never worked on or a used car that just joined our family, i.e. our new-to-us Acura, I'll use a traditional clay bar. I feel the old school clay bars work better of heavier levels of contamination.
For one of our vehicles I've been maintaining for years, or if we happen to bring home a brand new car, I'll use a clay mitt. I'm currently using the Blackfire Clay mitt and it seems to work pretty good.

Love the name man lol
What do you think of the perforated clay towel? The Reset towel is what i'm referring to. Is TRC's mitt perforated too?

From what I was told the perforations allows for the contaminants to pass through and embed into the microfiber. It seems to work. I coated a new M550 about a month ago and when I rinsed the towel out to clean it I was surprised at how dirty my rinse bucket got.
The mitt is also perforated.
