Rinseless Washes - 2022

While my preferred mitt is the TRC ones, do you still have a large stash of -cherry picked sheepskin wool mitts-.
That was the golden days. It's like picking produce but just picking the best densest wool mitts in the stash
Here's where I inset the OLD MAN emoji from iPhone but AGO doesn't have something similar

Hey! I *do* still have some left over, hand picked sheepskin mitts! Although today I've used microfiber more often.

Worn mitts get demoted to wheel use until they fall apart.

Finally got to play around with my big gold sponge! It's a winner for me! Very nice and releases the dirt very nicely with DIY rinseless.

While i love the smell of absolute i just don't like how it mixes so far.

The car is wearing cancoat for close to 6 mths but this was the first wash. It's there but its struggling. Interested what a chemical decon does. Hopefully when it warms up in a few weeks. The car sat outside for most of the 6mths with a few 800 km round trips to work over that period. 1 layer, zero top ups and applied outside without using cure. Pretty good actually. Probably top it will rapidwaxx in a few weeks. If it was warmer I would just apply cancoat again. Later in the year i guess...

The issue of mixing...after swirling it around, it's still not separating

It’s been fine for me. I like it because when it’s all mixed in I now it’s mixed well. I also use warm water which helps.

Another thing you can do is just put into small Tupperware and mix with a little water if it bothers you

I’m guessing with all the “game changing” talk they had to make it different.

When I first used Absolute, I mixed up my bucket with cold water.

Since then, I have used warm water and have not had any issues with it not mixing properly or it separating mid use.

Absolute cleans VERY well, I was very impressed

Great. It's not going anywhere. :)

I will switch back and forth - DIY/Absolute. I also have some ech20 and N914 left, probably 2-3 rinseless washes between them. I really like to use up products but i finally threw away a few chemical guys polishes i got when i first started out because i will never use them with what i have..now i just have to use up the shampoo's(crappy) in the foam cannon...lol Pretty simple collection at that point.

For my fellow Aussies, I note a local supplier (CCC) has added DIY Detail Rinse-less to their website, available from April.

Is that the only DIY Detail product they offer?

I just took advantage of their St. Patrick's Day 20% off sale. Everything I've used I HIGHLY recommend, sans their tire dressing. I mean it's a "get you by" product but would be fine for wheelwells and engine bay which is what I'm using it for, performs just fine for that. If DIY Detail wanna challenge themselves they put out a real good tire dressing/coating product

Opinions vs DIY? Ech20?

Well Ech2o I use when I want that little "extra" gloss, I mean it cleans just fine and because I have so many other RW/WW products to use that when I use Ech2o it's a real surprise, LOL.

As far as DIY Detail vs. Absolute, man that's tough! I was also impressed when using DIY Detail RW for the first time and eventually killed the bottle pretty quickly, cleans incredibly well. Now Absolute I've used more recently, so my opinion is more current but I used on my g/f's VERY dirty Cruze and the results really blew me away, even drying the car was easier and left no streaks behind. The dirt in my rinse bucket was amazing, so it gets down in there, "Absolute"ly

Not sure if I answered your question but I'm looking forward to more usage of Absolute and just bought another bottle of DIY Detail today, along with 4 or 4 other DIY Detail prpducts

How do the DIY and Absolute compare to Feynlab Pure Rinseless?

I feel the Feynlab still cleans the best. Absolute cleans good for normal washes as I feel Feynlab is to strong for every wash (no data just opinion)

The Absolute though is a way better user experience in applying and especially drying off.

Feynlab is interesting in how it clings to the surface. Much different than the other RWs I've used.

How do the DIY and Absolute compare to Feynlab Pure Rinseless?

In terms of cleaning, Feynlab will out clean both. Feynlab can remove wax and degrade a sealant. It is a non-issue on a coating but it can degrade a maintenance topper. I have used Pure Rinseless as a wash prior to a polishing job and it removed whatever was on the paint.

DIY and Absolute do a good job and for me DIY does a better job cleaning. Both are fine for a wax or sealant as it won't degrade them.

In short

Feynlab -> great for coatings and not for waxes or sealants

DIY or Absolute -? great on any form of protections.
