Re: Dont make my mistake
The idiots that tinted my windows scratched the drivers side one somehow once about 5"x5". I used the Carpro Ceriglass and a Rayon pad on my GG9 and it looks great again

Yesterday i finally tried it, using a Green Scotchbrite pad. Clearly, i chose the wrong pad. I sprayed the windows with glass cleaner, lightly rubbed them, and used a two towel method to finish. Well, after i had done all 4 door windows, I noticed some scratches, I looked closer, and it looks like someone ran sandpaper over my windows. Ive already tried my glass polish on a heavy cut pad. (knew it wouldnt work but had to try)
So learn from my mistake, DO NOT use a green scotchbrite pad.
Here is a video worth watching that Mike just posted.

Ceriglass is a lot stronger than GFGP. I have both. Also using a dedicated rayon glass pad makes a big difference.
I would try that route before shelling out $500

Re: Dont make my mistake
Hi all,
I should note, this pushed me over the edge into buying a GLI, so no more scratched glass and no more underpowered daily.

I've also seen steel wool 0000 suggested multiple times. What is the consensus on a safer alternative? Clay mitt or glass polish? I've got some stubborn tiny water marks I need to take care of at some point.

I like McKee’s Glass Restoring Polish. I believe Blackfire makes a similar product.
