The start out still but break in fast and contour well.
The yellows are 5 stars on there site with 36 reviews and the orange are 4.6 with 50.
Maybe you got a bad batch or maybe they just don’t match your machine or style

Opposite of you I didn’t get along with LC CCS. Doesn’t mean there a bad pad. Just didn’t work for me with my machine on cars I was polishing.
I love the BOSS pads and was just giving the OP my recommendation not really trying to debate who makes the best pads. You give your opinion I’ll give mine and let the OP absorb whatever info he see’s fit.
Lake asking who makes best trucks or AR15’s….. Everyone will come tell you why there’s is best.

Nice same one I have. When I need new pads I’ll try the HDO’s. Maybe I’ll like them better than old CCS as there made for long throws
