    Cool Favorite Medium Cut Polish!

    1. 3D one
    2. Sonax Perfect Finish
    3. Menzerna 2500
    4. Rupes DA fine

These are the 4 that popped in my head. Share any others.

It would also be nice to include your pads.

For me its Sonax Perfect finish and a medium foam pad like Lake country orange SDO/HDO/CCS pads. CCS is on the way and i can't wait to try it.

    1 vote for SPF!

Turtle Wax One & Done gets my vote. Similar to 3D One with a better wipe off and nicer scent.

I use LC hydrotech pads since I got a killer deal on them, I know not everyone is a fan of closed cell pads...

3D ONE with a foam polishing pad. The blue LC HDO CCS actually cuts a lot of defect out while leaving a great finish. This might me my new "single polish step" solution.

I also use Optimum Hyper Polish on their orange waffle pads, or Intensive on their black or orange waffle pads. I was surprised at the amount of marring that Intensive Polish can leave behind with that orange waffle pad, only to see it work great with the black!

    Years prior it was:
Menzerna 2500 on tangerine LC Hydrotech.
Meguiar's M205 on green Buff and Shine pads.
    Rupes Quarz/Green pad.
Rupes Keramik / Yellow microfiber pads.

When I started at the shop they had mostly Adam's products, and I liked their medium orange polish on their old orange waffle pads. That was another good one step solution.

I also really like Sonax Cut and Finish on foam polishing pads

Yeah the ones i listed are kinda all over the place. Sonax Cut and Finish is probably apples to apples with 3D One.

Sonax Cut + Finish would be nice to try too.

Griots BOSS Correcting Cream is my weapon of choice right now for a medium grade polish. It's really versatile, finishes out really nicely so you can use it as a one-step, and it's easy to remove.

    Re: Favorite Medium Cut Polish!

3D One with a Rupes yellow foam pad for a car with some more serious swirls and with a Rupes white foam as an equivalent finish to 3D Speed but without the protection

I have never had the removal issues with 3D One that others mention from time to time

SPF leaves a great finish with either of the pads mentioned above but for me in Hawaii it really dusted, although I would certainly try it here in Alaska and see if a different climate gives different results

I plan on trying 3D One with the B&S Uro Tec pads in the same colors when I get up and running again

It depends on what I'm trying to do and the hardness of the paint. I've used several based on conditions.

    - For a "normal" one step on well maintained medium/hard paint or on soft paint with some issues I use Rupes Yellow or Lake Country ThinPro White
    - When I've encountered a problem spot on medium-hard paint or even soft paint I couldn't remove with a milder combinations I've moved to a Lake Country ThinPro orange and cleaned things up nicely.

I've honestly not tried it on an abused car with hard paint like a VW or Audi. So far I've only used it in various capacities on a black BMW, blue Dodge, Maroon Toyora, grey metallic Mazda, and blue Subaru.

And this post is exactly why "What's the Best......?" questions can only be answered suggestively.

What's the best for car "A" might not be the best for car "B". Or it might not work at all to the users satisfaction.

Like we always say........ TEST SPOTS!!
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
