Plastic-Chrome Trim Restoring

Any recommendations for removing water spots etc from plastic-chrome trim like around windows?

I have tried machine compounding and polishing (Optimum) with zero improvement. Maybe Meg’s Plastx?

I would try 0000 steel wool(dry)

AIO/cleaner wax, Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish, 0000 steel wool dry.

0000 steel wool doesn’t touch it. I think the trim just laughed at me.

It is only on one side of the car, maybe it was kept in a carport.

Looking at the pic again, it's as though the stain is coming from under the plastic and the metal coating on the base plastic is what is effected.
If that is the case my guess is nothing is going to fix it and it may need to be replaced

Try coke cola with the steel wool.

It seems like it’s too far gone, but you never know.

Can the dealer warranty the issue?

Not sure. I bought it used but it has a lot of the original warranty remaining.

Minimum warranty should be 3 years bumper to bumper.
