Re: What's everyone favorite medium polishing foam pad?

B&S urofiber pads, if you like the orange give the yellow Boss pads a try.

I really wanted to give DR Beasley’s NSP’s a try but liking the correcting cream followed by Essence everything i’ve done….. it was hard to switch up.

I stuck with old faithful GCC and essence.

I have not had to reach for FCC yet.

Do you prime them? I never prime foam.
Buy them now !!!! they are 25% off. LOL

I do prime the pad out of habit. I do that with all pads especially with fiber pads. I understand the logic with the fiber pads but to be frank... I am not sure if it does anything for foam pads. Over the years, I learn not to over do it on foam pads since one can easily overload the pad by priming then adding more working product to it.

Re: What's everyone favorite medium polishing foam pad?

I can usually find a medium cut from the yellow Buff and Shine Uro-Tec, or the Uro-Fiber. It just depends on what the paint wants. I still need to try the Dark Blus Uro-Tec. That one might be the long-term solution.

    it's 3D ONE 99% of the time.

Today was work on a black Porsche. I can't remember the specifics, but the boss said it was called the "Smokey and The Bandit" edition. I used my old school Buff and Shine Grip Pads on the Porter Cable. I was able to remove the majority of the damage using 3D ONE on the blue polishing / finishing pad. Areas that needed more correction I just slowed down the arm movement. This allowed the combo time to remove the deeper damage but still leave a great finish. I was a little concerned because I thought that 3D ONE was going to struggle finishing, but It finished like a charm. This one had random moderate scratches and occasional rotary marks.
