    Polisher for small areas?

Does anyone out there use a polisher or drill attachment to get those small areas on the car? I'm thinking about the glossy trim around the windows or b-pillars? I usually do them by hand, but wondering if there is a better way.

    Thanks!

I purchased the griots GR3 mini rotory at the start of the year and so far love it. It comes with 1-3 inch backing plates and two different length extentions...which is a plus.

Might i advise to keep in mind that if you use a free spinning da on such areas that it may be difficult to maintain pad rotation. Its something that i based my decision on when looking at buying a smaller machine.

Mind you...this is my first rotory style machine.

I have a Griot’s G8 but since I went cordless, I haven’t used it but it was a solid performer.

I went cordless with the Flex PXE80 and it slings 1”, 2”, and 3” pads without issue. For the 2” plate, I bought an attachment from APS. I also bought extensions to get into areas that I might not be able to get to well with the regular tool.

Another option is the Rupes iBrid Nano but that is expensive and while quieter than the Flex PXE, I usually reach for the Flex first.

Another cordless option I’ve seen mentioned is the SPTA micro polisher that looks to be a knockoff of the Rupes but I’ve never used it.

That was going to be my machine of choice at first but I did not want to go cordless.

I think that's honestly going to have to be the first question that the OP will have to ask himself.... do I want cordless or corded

I purchased the G8 and have the 2 inch and 3 inch. I have the flex supa beast for normal use and spoiled by the zero stall with this machine.
The g8 is a solid machine but stalls too easy for me. Maybe operator technique.

I have a Rupes Nano long neck kit, and there is way more stuff in the kit than I needed.

If I was to do it again I'd go with the PXE80. Just what I need.
