Re: Quick review: 3D super pre soak
I've been using this lately for when I want to "start over". I used it ahead of a full clay + polish and again on a car that's basically never maintained. Each time they were squeaky clean.
I will be using it this weekend again to strip a vehicle for a new LSP. I will admit I don't pay a lot of attention to get the dilution ratio perfect in the cases above, but each time it definitely diminished anything on the car (if not completely removed everything). None of them are coated.
This weekend it will go up against 8 week old PA Rapidwaxx. I'll keep closer tabs to see if it didn't remove anything but I'm thinking based on my lack of dilution monitoring, it'll kill that right away.
I will admit I've used BH Touchless just twice and Griot's Surface Prep only once so it's hard to compare. Also my intent with Touchless has been to clean vs my intent with Pre-Soak and Surface Prep to strip. There's a newer video out there with MP using this as surface prep too - that's where I got the idea to try it actually.
Good review though - thanks!

I really need to get a foam sprayer to try bh touchless in. I currently use it in a regular pump sprayer which is fine but in the shade on a cool car it it still drys so damn fast. I can only spray half the car at most before i have to rinse b4 it drys.
Dont want to try in a foam cannon cuz it would be so expensive lol

What do you think of BHTL vs the 3D presoak?

I do feel like bh touchless does a better job as a prewash at breaking down and eating away at heavy traffic film. This winter will be a true test though.
I think ill still will use presoak. Weither it be bucket wash or a prewash. Just depends on the situation really.
But just to add...and take it for what its worth, ive so far never been more amazed at a products ability to clean a surface free of contaminants than i was with carpro descale. Even as just as a prewash. Now i know its not for continuous all the time use and im not using it that way.
But i had so many contaminants that i could feel on surface when washing the buick that nothing else so far removed. Thought i was going to have to wait and reclay/buff in spring. Nope descale took car of it.
