    Re: LSP recommendation

I'll second the Collinite 845 recommendation. I've always had success with it going the distance in the winter.

I'd also recommend Wolfgang's SiO2 Paint Sealant, the liquid in the bottle, not one of the spray sealants. It is far easier to apply than 845, has water behavior which is more coating-like, and is actually more durable from my experience.

I like Griots 3 in 1, but I don't think it is as durable as other non-spray options. I was able to get about 4~5 months out if whereas 845 lasted 5~6 for me and the Wolfgang lasted 6+ months.

If your garage is heated, you have it made to reapply any coating mid winter

I can second the griots 3 in 1. Ive gotten 6 months of extreme water beading on a drying aid application. Ive gotten even longer when applied directly.

3 in 1 is a tough, durable spray sealant hybrid.

    Re: LSP recommendation

Thank you all! Lots of good recommendations. I’m impressed to see so much support for Griots. Both it and collinite are very cost effective. I have been wary of a true coating, given my skill level etc.

I continue to research. Will post a pic whenever we get the car.

    Thanks!
    Chris

You might like Druagloss 111, and / or Aquawax.

For me, 111 has been a consistently high winter performer for years.

I like 3d bead it up. Just not sure if it is me(meaning not using enough product or what) or the fact that 2 out three of our vehicles are coated so im used to the tight ass water beading from it but ime 3d bead it up as astandalone product doesnt last long (beading wise) on vertical panels only.

Pic is 1.5 months after application. Just after a fresh wash. It was driven twice and washed twice

Or maybe its not as bad as i think?

Not highjacking, just adding info for the masses
