Thoughts/Opinions about 3D HD Poxy?
Hi everyone,
Do any of you have experience using 3D HD Poxy? I saw a mobile detailer working on a neighbor's white car. The paint really seemed to pop. I asked him what kind of wax he uses and he said 3D HD Poxy. HD Poxy appears to be a blend of Montan wax and a polymer sealant. Since I live in a very warm climate, I think the Montan wax will likely stand up to the heat better than carnauba waxes.
How do you think HD Poxy would compare to a carnauba and siicone infused spray sealant such as Griots Garage 3-in-1 wax?
Thank you,

My guess would be Griots 3-in-1 would have much better durability than Poxy.
3D Speed is popular with mobile detailers for quick one-steps. The protection component within Speed is essentially Poxy. Speed can be topped with Poxy and was a popular combo for many before ceramic products became the new flavor of the day.
Sort of depends what you’re after. You may prefer the “look” of Poxy and don’t mind reapplying more frequently than what you may need to with a product like Griots 3-in-1.
You can’t go wrong with either imho.

I have no issue with it, but I do prefer FK1000P or 845.

Super easy to use, smells fantastic, and holds up pretty well.
One of the local high end shops uses it for their non coating jobs.

Any thoughts on how the gloss and overall look of HD Poxy compares to the look of Collinite 845 and GG 3-in-1 Ceramic Wax?

I use it and I really like it
I put it on top of 3D Speed because as others have pointed out, that’s the protection component that’s already in Speed
I apply it with my PC and an application pad
It goes on super smooth and even
I wait an hour and buff it off and in my opinion it comes off as easy or easier than any other sealant wax combo product I have tried
Longevity is great as far as I am concerned, but my truck is garaged
I always put OCW on top because that’s my go to drying aid although I’m playing with TWWW lately
To me the look is closer to a warm glow like a wax rather than the sharp pop of a sealant
It’s a product I trust and enjoy using

Re: Thoughts/Opinions about 3D HD Poxy?
This thought came to me after I posted and I completely spaced adding it until today
Another reason I like Poxy is you can put it on EVERYTHING on the exterior of a car
The 3D tutorials show it covering every square inch of a car from bumper to bumper and rocker panel to roof
That has been my experience
I have never seen it stain trim like most paste waxes and it really enhances the plastics I have put it on
I don't advocate being sloppy applying ANY LSP but you don't need to baby it when applying this stuff
