Hydrophobics from Griot's 3 in 1
Griot's 3 in 1 applied more on the heavy side. Came out great. Heavy as in all surface of each panel covered in the product vs usual 1 to 2 sprays per panel.

This is the first time that I was really impressed with the initial beading of 3 in 1 . I've used it quite a bit over the last 2 years on and off. Opti-Seal was dead after 2 or so weeks so I decided to go back to 3 in 1. I pre-washed with OPC, washed with OPT soap, then used P21s by hand and followed with a quick wipe down of IGL Precoat to remove whatever P21s leaves behind. IGL precoat is pretty strong for a paint prep and will clean the surface very well for what it is.
For application I deviated from the label a bit by applying it heavier. I made sure the surface was completely covered with the product (not dripping just completely covered). I used my GG blue edgeless mf towels. Really impressed with how it came out this time. It's really hard to bead this product IMO.

This stuff is the real deal IMO. I have a beater car, talking rust on it, never polished the paint etc . I washed it with a sponge and a bucket of soapy water. Then applied the 3in1. I did that like 3 months or so ago and it's still beading. Never washed it since.
I have it on my truck too which is new. I applied that on polished paint. But it gets washed weekly to bi-weekly. I use the ceramic speed shine as a topper. So performance never really drops off.
Good stuff for sure!

I always follow what the labels say for application, but I believe you can give the hydrophobics a boost by going a bit heavier with this product. I really think the type of mf towel makes a big difference too.

The Griot's spray bottles are also very good. Feels like quality. I didn't use full sprays though. I'd say they were 50% but sprayed multiple times to ensure the entire surface was covered.
You would think that I would have run in to streaky issues. I didn't, and that was surprising. I think the right mf towel makes a huge difference, but most importantly was the surface was cool and in the shade.

Did you happen to try the ceramic speed shine yet?

Would be a good drying aid to use to maintain the 3-1.
