    Another coating question :)

I know this question has been asked before but with fall and winter coming, I would like to ask your advice on the new coatings that are out there now and which would be easiest to use for this weekend warrior .

    Thanks

IMO Cquartz UK 3.0 or Cquartz SiC. Both are super easy. In fact lay down a layer of UK then SiC. What's nice is when you use CarPro Essence, it is not only a polish and filler product that enhances gloss and the micro swirls polishing puts in but it's a base-coat layer of SiO2 for the next layer/your coating. It leaves a slick surface but that's not the end of it. When you put on UK 3.0 the surface becomes a slight bit more grabby vs Essence so you can literally feel where you need to coat. If you layer SiC on next, it goes on super slick and thus you can again, feel where you have UK 3.0 as your first layer and then SiC as your second.

Flash times will vary but UK does allow for longer and is more forgiving. However, you won't have a problem with SiC. Both have carrier solvents that are easy to wipe.

This really is a amazing combo.

There are a ton of coatings out there but CQuartz UK 3.0 is a stalwart and I also went with a second coat of SiC to give more chemical/water spotting resistance.

I agree that CQUK 3.0 is easy. SiC is a little trickier because of the long flash times. It has up to 8 mins and you will have to figure out when it is the right time to wipe off.

Others I would toss in as they are 1 layer coatings.

Poorboys Ceramic which is the slickest coating I’ve used as of late. Yes even slicker than SiC.

Blackfire Black Edition which will act a little like Gtechniq CSL where it has a swearing effect indicating it’s time to wipe off.

DP Graphene which will rainbow. Very nice to work with.

You always have the Gtechniq twins but now your approaching multi layer.

Whats the water behavior like for poorboys Mike? Its a great price for a claimed 3 year coating.

Being your first time Cquartz would be ok but finding right removal can be tricky 60 seconds to 4 mins.

There are alot of coatings that you can apply and remove instantly. I would look into those.
