How To Remove Convertible Top Protectant Residue
I have a 2016 BMW 235i and the convertible fabric top has accumulated protectant (303) white residue (crystallized)over top particularly at the fold lines. Any suggestions on what can be used to remove without causing any damage?

Re: How To Remove Convertible Top Protectant Residue
I’m trying to remember what exactly happened when I ran into that problem many years ago. It’s unfortunate you’re experiencing that issue because I know I eventually chose to try and remove it entirely from my top. I think I used Meguiars APC @10:1 and it took repeated washings, but it’s been so long ago.
I can’t imagine how you’d go about removing just an area of that residue without comprising both the look and protection of the remainder of the top. You’re probably going to have to remove it and start over.
