Flex “Pixie”
Picked up a Flex Pixie and used it for the first time yesterday. Really disappointed in the lack of power with a1” foam pad and short throw. Any suggestions on how to get more correction? I thought the longer throw defeats the purpose of a 1” pad in tight spots. Thanks

Re: Flex “Pixie”
Check the manual. The 1” is for the rotary mode. The short throw is for sanding and not for correction work.

^^^Same here!
And do as the Guz says, check your manual, get it figured out and you will really enjoy it!

1" rotary is killer for scratches!

I knew it was in the manual. Under drive type.

Re: Flex “Pixie”
I tried a white foam pad with the rotary and it works well. I was hoping the 3 mm orbital would give some level of correction if needed but just not enough power. This is my first cordless tool and it’s nice to cut the cord...at least part of the time. Thanks again for the info.

Re: Flex “Pixie”
I have had a chance to use the 1” backing plate and rotary drive. I’m getting rotary marks on A and B pillars with orange foam pads and Blackfire One Step. What advice do you have to prevent this? This is my first experience with a rotary tool so I’m sure my technique is lacking. Thanks!

The film on pillars are super soft so just use a finishing pad and polish.
