So, what is the deal with Meguiar's D2002 (Iron Removing Spray "Clay")
This appears to be 1 of 4 products (that I've noticed, at any rate) from their Detailers line that have popped up at chain stores.
It seems like iron removers are challenging to find without having to be ordered online. Sometimes I'd juat like to walk into a plce and pick one up.
Does anyone have any experience with this product?

Works pretty good, just slower than IronX. I like to buy as needed because I had a real sensitive sense of smell (pre Covid) and these type of products would really stink up the garage and I also had a bottle disintegrate and it was a real disaster. The only negative I had with the Megs was the spray tip sucked right out of the box, I cleaned it after use and it was still bad

•Basically:
-The Clay-ing process removes contaminates
that are bonded to the paint.
•On the other hand:
-Isn’t Meguiar’s D180101 Wheel & Paint
Iron Decon the product to use, when you
want to “remove iron”?
{Or perhaps you’re talking about
Meguiar's Iron Removing Spray
#DRTU200232?

-It’s my understanding that Meguiar’s
product #D200200 is a Clay-ing Kit.

The D2002 is an iron remover that can be also used as a clay lube, confusing right?

•And on top of that, Meguiar’s doesn’t
recommend using it as a Clay lube for
any of their Professional Clays (C2000;
C2100).
-It’s OK using it with the Clay pad in the
G200200 Clay Kit, though. Say Whhaaat?!?!

You would have to be nuts to use that as a clay lube, even though what bob said is true per directions. It says right on the bottle...Do not allow product to dry. Which is almost impossible to do when claying.
I have tried a bottle of it, it works. I have a gallon of adams now and thats all ive ever tried so far.

HOW is it "impossible" to not let it dry while claying? lol You spray a panel, let it dwell then clay it and rinse off. Then move to the next panel. Not sure why you said IMPOSSIBLE?

For me it dried quick. So trying to use it as a lay lube it would dry on the surface before being able to finish the steps you had mentioned. Directions said to not let dry on the surface. Just my experience with it. Yours may be diff than mine
