Clear bra and Ceramic
I am planning on ceramic coating a friend's Toyota 4 Runner. It has a clear bra on the front of the hood. Am I able to ceramic coat the clear bra, also can I polish it?

I've seen a couple ceramics geared towards PPF's around here but can't remember their names but surely someone will chime in. I am 100% sure you can polish it and take the approach or polishing something with soft paint here as the PPF is soft, even softer

Contact the manufacturer of the PPF and the coating to be sure, I would at least.

I agree, check with the manufacture. All the PP I’ve installed (which has been XPEL and 3m) has been a no polish situation, just wipe it down with IPA, and then put on the ceramic if you want to.

had my car done with a complete body PPF then had OptiCoat Pro + applied. No issues encountered.

You can ceramic coat PPF, but I would be very, very careful about polishing the film.
Best advice has been given - check with the manufacturer.

Ceramic wise, you can ceramic coat PPF. I have had no issues with Gtechniq CSL on PPF, and their newly released PPF/Vinyl coating Halo is a great option as well. Both super easy to apply.
Polishing the film, as others have stated, if you know who made the PPF ask to see if it is ok.

Yes you can. Just don't polish too hard. Just a light touch and clean it. GYEON makes a PPF specific polish that works well. CarPro Essence is fine as would be any super fine refined cleaner/polish. Many of the newer brands including the ones I use are self healing so no need to remove any marks and they probably won't have any. Coatings are safe for them though. It won't impact the self healing at all.
