    Ultimate detailer set up

So this is what gets used at the dealer I work for to “detail” your new car or truck....

Notice the care taken to protect the “best” MF towels up in the top center/right.

Let this be a lesson to any unenlightened/unwary new car buyer.

    Lol

That's not my department, not my call, and that pic was all I could stomach for the month, Ric.

So you are implying that if your dealership details a car it might not look any better than that cabinet?

No detail setup is complete without a full compliment of paper towels. Who needs quality microfiber when you have that?
I believe in treating everybody with respect, and clean cars. That’s what I believe in.

A gentleman stops by Autogeek yesterday with his brand new Acura. Says the paint feels bumpy after the dealership washed it.

He pointed it out to the Service Manager and the Service Manager said they could wetsand the car to fix it.

Michael in the front lobby asked me to come talk to him. I showed him a Post-it Note. Told him it's 3 mils thin and the factory clearcoat is 2 mils thin. Then explained what wetsanding entails.

Then I introduced him to deailing clay. Showed him how easy it would be to fix the problem. He bought some clay and some wax, decided to do it himself.

I also told him anytime he has to take the new car to the dealership to be very adamant that they DO NOT WASH THE CAR. Explained how they would simply swirl-out the paint.

    Each one teach one...
