Re: Blackfire Pro Ceramic Coating, "Black Edition".
Thanks for posting...
I just washed my car today!!! That is after a couple of days!!! Dirt cling on, nothing coming off and after 2 washes---fine scratches are showing up.
I am not feeling this product at all. Something isn't right.
Stopping all Blackfire coatings for customers at this point.
Looking into coatings as of this writing.

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time with this coating. Had to go back and read through your original thread and I pointed out that the Blackfire primer is not abrasive. So is it possible that the defects were not removed and likely filled and they are now starting to show.
The other thing is that it is a Lexus which has soft paint. A coating on soft paint helps but it will still scratch/marr. I am a believer that the coating takes on the characteristic of the paint hardness/softness. Still a good option for soft paints.

Agree re scratches on Lexus.
Everything is fine re ceramic. The issue is, it is not self cleaning and water run off is tick slow.
Rather than having a dirty, clean car, I'm having a dirty, dirty car just like all the regular cars on road.
Had much greater results with the 2 year ceramic. With this one--scratches a tad more but dirt doesn't stick as easily.

I always understood that your "paint" will take on the characteristics of whatever is on the very top.
Tom, sorry you're having this experience, which seems different from mine. I'll have to do some checking for sure.
Luckily, I happen to have BF Pro Coating AND BF Black Edition on the same panel. ANNNND. It's quite dirty. Haven't washed it in a while.
Once the wife takes off with the kid for some shopping, I'll flip the car around, spray it down and record the action.

Hummmm. I was actually considering this for when my new truck arrives.
Think I’ll just stick to one of the Nubas I have.
I’m very sorry you are having issues. Especially after all that work snd time involved. I’ll be back to this thread for updates.

I wouldn't let this experience keep you away from coatings. Not all are created equal.
From my experience CQuartz UK has fantastic sheeting and beading; the best I've ever tried. Keeping my car clean while wearing that coating was very easy. If you want to try something a little less intense, CanCoat is another really good option.

I second this. Kamikaze Zipang is also nothing short of amazing.
Black Nissan is a customer's car, Trans Am is personal car. Both in Cquartz Uk 3.0
I dry with water.

Dr Olds,
Don't let this stop you---Ceramic IS different!
I like ceramic. Getting some Graphene this time around and will use on a C8 Corvette coming in a week or so.
I have an opened bottle and it's enough to do 3 more cars. Fresh bottle too.
Give me your address and I'll send it to you. Try it on just one door and see what you think.
