I have been wondering whether borax might be another effective booster to add in when doing MF laundry. Borax is known to boost the cleaning power of detergents, plus borax, when combined with water, will yield some hydrogen peroxide and thus some cleaning power of its own.

Crazy.
Tariffs. And the last few years brought more of them than ever, paid for by you and me. I read a recent article that estimated that tariffs added an additional $25-30K in lumber costs to the price of the average new home.

Interesting advice that I plan to try. I have a Gyeon silk drying towel that has diminished drying power. Maybe I should try the rags to riches on it. But the PFM is new to me and it’s so good I’m not sure how often I’ll use it.

I’m a consultant and I’ve been sent up to Canada several times for work. I’m assuming the US acts the same way but I don’t know for sure but the Canadian immigration people do not like people from the US going to Canada for work. They act like I’m taking a job from a Canadian and I simply tell them I’m an expert and there isn’t anyone available in Canada to do the job, which is why I’m being sent up to help a Canadian company, which will lead to them making more money for Canadians. But nope, they’ve threatened to send me back multiple times unless the proper paperwork wasn't completed in triplicate. They probably didn’t like when I didn’t beg to be let in and was rather like, well, I get paid either way.
I don’t know the source of the hostility but it is definitely there.

And yet the lack of tariffs overseas makes everything cheaper in Walmart.......... Great plan. (For Wall Street).

Not to get too far off track, but it hasn't been all tarrifs. A severe shipping container shortage on the shipping routes between Asia, North America, and Europe along with the pandemic reducing production capacity at lumber mills and explosive construction growth across the US has created a demand that outstrips supply at this time.
We're in the middle of renovating part of our house. While all of the building materials were a little more expensive, the real problem is getting materials. Inventory simply isn't there and the wait times are really long.

I let it soak in some CG microfiber cleaner and washed it and used it again today and it still doesn't want to soak much up anymore and just pushes the water around
I'll try some vinegar but not sure why its doing this. My chamois seems to work fine, though its getting really old and should be demoted to drying wheels and rockers now :/
I'll read through that link MisterSnoop,. thanks.

I have not used them nor heard much about them. The are similar to the Rag Company’s Gauntlet towel.
Both seen to be twisted loop stripes with a standard plush MF stripe. I’ve read alot of bad reviews on the Gauntlet leaving streaks when using drag method.
Would research chipmunks more if I were you.
The description does make sense though but i’d still be weary. Maybe look for a full twisted loop towel.
If you can’t find one their is one Available from MTM called the Duplex. I’ve used once on a Ammo frothe wash and i liked it....

Thanks for the info Coatingsarecrack.
What about the Rag Company Double Twistress or Liquid8r or Twist N Shout?
The Griots are like 1.5-2x the price of anything else up here. Also I tried the Griots PFM Wax Removal towels and hated them (for wax removal, but not totally sold on the extra cost of their stuff I mean)
