Possible mildew in perforated seats
So long story short, my folks’ F150 Limited got rained on with the sunroof open and now they’re saying there’s a mildew-y smell. Being the Limited, it has perforated front seats for the heat and ventilation. I kind of worry that water got down into the foam and is stuck. They’ve taken out the mats, sucked up any water, let everything air out, and even Fabreezed it, but nothing seems to be working. No cabin air filter to check/change.
Any ideas on what to try or check? I think we could probably pull the seats, but my dad wasn’t real interested in pulling the leather off.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Possible mildew in perforated seats
I would look at the carpet as a culprit vs the seats but also it depends how much water actually got it in.
