Scangrip handheld. If you want something locally then the Braun handheld from Harbor Freight which is similar to the first generation Scangrip.

OK, took out the batteries 4times and tweaked some stuff, and were back in business

Better products elsewhere and with color matching. I paid just under $60 for a replacement exactly 3 years ago to replace my brinkman. It is still brand-spanking new, simpler to operate and does the deed. Brinkman was niche until LED lighting with significant power came to market.

I have a Brinkman as well. Havent used it in years. I converted to LEDs years ago. I use scansgrip exclusively now. I like the fact it has different settings for light intensity.

I have an LED wand that helps me with seeing light scratches on the paint but isn't quite powerful enough to show micro marring after I polish my black paint (my biggest problem with this truck).
Is it possible to spot micro marring with the Braun handheld light?
