The proper procedure to top with Pinnacle Liquid Souveran or BLACKFIRE BlackICE after a one step polish

I currently have two one step polish products in my lineup the BLACKFIRE One Step and the Pinnacle Souveran Jeweling Wax.

I top the BF One Step with BlackICE, and the PSJW with the Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax.

What would be your reccomended procedure for applying my toppers?

I was just applying my toppers immediately after the one step polish was complete but now it seems I need to wait 24 hours after some recent knowledge I've obtained.

If I need to wait 24 hours before applying the topper a light layer of dust will settle on the vehicle by this time. My shop doesn't keep the dust off very well unfortunately. Especially with the wind sometimes.

Could I take some damp microfiber towels and gently wipe the dust away and buff with a dry towel, then apply the topper?

Are there some cheap yet clear coat safe plastic covers I can purchase to cover the vehicle until I am ready to apply the topper 24 hours later?

    •Whenever I felt the compulsion
    to top AIOs...
-I never waited 24 hours to do so.

    •IMO:
-By the time you’re done with the “buffing
process” of AIOs, the mechanism responsible
for AIOs’ product-to-paint ’bonding’ will have
also had sufficient time to complete its mission.

-If a person is predisposed to the topping of
AIOs...that, alone, could be considered as one
of the more enticing reasons for using them.

Don’t sweat it. I use BF One Step a lot. I often top with a BF true LSP right after and have never seen any issues.

Wouldn’t waiting 24 hours completely defeat the purpose of an aio? As a business it’s adding extra cost and taking up space in your shop, I would say you’d get better results using a dedicated polish then follow with your sealant or hit it with the aio and get paid

Thanks for your input. It seems like I don't need to wait after all. Just trying to make sure the customer leaves with the longest lasting protection I can give them with my one step polishing package.

I’ve seen your work here on the forums, you do great work and you have the passion. I get what you’re saying about going the extra mile as I do as well but also do what’s right for your business

I appreciate that more than you know! Actually I read your comment this morning and it carried me through my day! I understand, you have to use common sense practices when it comes to business. Thank you very much!!!

I know your concern has already been answered so this response is a bit irrelevant to the original issue, but, in the future if you ever have the need to remove light dust, like that as would accumulate overnight in a garage, the California Car Duster is the perfect tool to do it with.

I know the California Car Duster is not held in the highest of regards on this forum and gets a lot of negative comments, but I don't know of anyone who uses one, or who has ever used one, that will discredit its results when used properly and with a little common-sense.

I use one regularly on my black truck and black bikes.
