Removing pine needles form carpeting in a reasonable timeframe
Hey everyone,
Over the last weekend, I was trying to clean out the interior of my wife's car for her, a Jeep Grand Cherokee. We get a real tree each year and I typically take it in for recycling by wrapping it then stuffing it into the back of her car. This results in a LOT of pine needles impaling themselves into the carpet. Using my Ridgid "shop vac" and its crevice tool, I was able to vacuum them out but it took for-freaking-ever! I tried back and forth, I tried swirling...I tried picking them out by hand...ugh!
So I figured I would turn to the pros to ask: How do you do this efficiently when you're presented with this situation?
Thank you for any and all replies!

Buff Brite Fur-eel Pet Hair Remover
This works really good.
You may need to get an adaptor direct from the company since AG doesn’t carry it. Think it’s called “the Fang”

That’s because Facebook can read your mind.

Did you use a carpet brush first? I always use a brush on carpets and mats first, to help loosen sand etc. (I use a brush similar to the Tuf Shine tire brush). Also, the rubber pet brushes do work on pet hair, and I would try one of those on the needles. I recently bought a new one after my wife found out how good they worked on our rugs - did not want to get caught out on a detail without one!

Can you give me an example of what you're talking about? Searching for "carpet brush" returns everything from drill brushes to regular scrub brushes for cleaning the bathroom floor.

I suggest searching on the Autogeek store - https://www.autogeek.net/.
Here are the results for 'carpet brush' - Auto Geek- Your Car Wax SuperStore, Car Wax, Auto Detailing Supplies , Car Accessories, Car Buffers Store, We Are Car Care. It brought up ones that can be used by hand or on a machine (Porter Cable type). Mike P. uses the blue Heavy Duty DA ones that have a hook-and-loop attachment.
This is a search for 'tire brush' - Auto Geek- Your Car Wax SuperStore, Car Wax, Auto Detailing Supplies , Car Accessories, Car Buffers Store, We Are Car Care. The one I use for carpets is like the TUF SHINE tire brush and/or the Low Profile Tire Brush. I have one for capets and one to clean low profile tires (and use it for exhaust tips, etc.).
