75’ run from bib to car: how would split hose length?

Weird question, but the nearest water source from driveway is ~60’. So would you run 50’ garden hose from bib to PW and use 25’ PW hose or would you use a 25’ garden hose to PW and a 50’ PW hose?

Assuming great water flow with the 25’ garden hose/50’ PW hose. But anyone know for sure?

I think you are forgetting the electrical cord length. A water hose has a larger volume so will be able to be better than the pressure hose.

Electrical cord length not an issue.

Garden hose is usually thick and hence have greater flow than PW hose.
I use 80 foot garden hose with my pressure washer and it works very well. Never faced any issue.

I would pick the lighter hose to be of greater length and the heavier one to be shorter. The size difference won't matter, as long as you're getting about 2gpm to the PW (which any hose should be able to do, even at much longer distance) then you got all the water you need for that. The power washer shouldn't show any decreased performance unless you go beyond 100ft hose for that. In the distances you've mentioned, you won't have issues with either configuration.

I wouldn’t settle for anything less than 1000 ft. of hose from the power washer..

I’m only kidding about 1000ft. of hose. Lol

I’m intrigued by any convo involving hoses, so I couldn’t help but post something.

I would use 50’ for each because I don’t have any 25’ hoses.

The high pressure hose loss is negligible under 1000 feet. I don't think it matters from a technical standpoint how you choose to set it up. I guess I'd personally choose to minimize the amount of hose I have to coil up after each use.
